Group Statement

As three artists, we once maintained individual studios in an artists' cooperative in Calgary. Through this shared experience we discovered commonalities in our visual language that reference the body. Crossing over of subject matter, materials, and philosophies have resulted in common threads expressed in our individual voices. Frequently, memory and women's work form the foundation upon which we construct our narratives. Through multi-layered subject matter, we - collectively - challenge the viewer to reflect upon different levels. Although we are no longer working in close proximity, we continue to experience serendipitous directions.
